In 1990 the town of Charleville in South West Queensland Australia was inundated with floodwaters from the Warrego River.
This is in an area more renowned for its droughts.
It was devastating when seven years later, the town and district were once again enveloped by floodwaters.
This children's story was inspired by these events.

Many of the illustrations depict prominent scenes of Charleville as well as some of the various tourist attractions. The most recent being the Cosmos Centre, where you can experience the night sky and gain an understanding of the universe.
